The exhibition was related to the original purpose of the hall as a library room for the University and the idea that all knowledge in the world could be contained in a collection of books. Eight installations circled around the present day’s mass of fragmented information, where books, writing and language are disintegrating and undergoing change. Several of the works captured the dualism between mind and matter, between the human need for expressing the inner universe – in writing and books – but also the self- same objects physical mortality.
